This interactive 3-part series introduces participants to the Crawford Bias Reduction Theory & Training (CBRT), a research-based framework designed to help individuals and organizations recognize, investigate, and reduce bias. Each 90-minute session combines lecture, guided self-reflection, and experiential learning to create both personal insight and practical tools for action.
Part #1: Awareness – Deconstructing Monoliths, Privilege, and Intersectionality

Discover how bias shows up in everyday choices and explore the forces that shape your identity. You’ll reflect on privilege, intersectionality, and internalized messages while learning the core principles of CBRT.
By participating, you will:
Identify personal triggers and cultural countertransference.
Apply the ABCP framework (Affect, Behavior, Cognition, Physiology) to real cases.
Investigate fears and resources to move beyond coping.
Evaluate ineffective “DEI-by-compliance” practices.
Strategize better approaches grounded in evidence and impact.

Part #2: Investigation: Triggers, Coping, and Pathways to Change
Workshop 2: Investigation – Triggers, Coping, and Pathways to Change
Go deeper into the reactions that bias activates. Learn the ABCP model, uncover personal triggers, and practice the LET-UP framework to move beyond coping and toward effective strategies for change.
By participating, you will:

Part #3: Reduction– Repairing Harm, Building Resilience, and Taking Action
Workshop 3: Reduction– Repairing Harm, Building Resilience, and Taking Action
Build practical skills to repair harm, recover from stress, and sustain your practice without burnout. Through role plays, resilience tools, and action planning, you’ll leave with concrete practices for lasting impact.
By participating, you will:
Use stress recovery skills: breathing, grounding, boundary setting.
Repair harm in teams using LET-UP role plays and cultural do-overs.
Protect mental health while leading and influencing change.
Build a personal healing and action plan.
Name the practices you will carry forward.
